Self Love isn’t Selfish


If you don’t take control over your time and your life, other people with hire you to take care of theirs.

Now let that just resonate in your mind for a moment. Think about that quote and read again if needed. It’s simply talking about ‘Self Love’ and filling your happiness cup.

I’m sure you are totally aware of how essential it is to take care of your mind body and spirit. I won’t lecture you on the pros and cons , but I will say this, work productively and efficiently; look after your well-being, your health is what holds things together. Your mental health being the most important as it shapes everything you think and do.

Stress and overwork will kill you eventually, this is the honest truth.Nothing like a breakdown to show you how strong you need to be to hold things together. But without good mental health that hold can easily slip. Practice self care, take a break from everything once in a while and re-focus. The mind is only as good as its holder. You can’t be successful without a good knowledge of self.

Develop techniques that will bring balance to to hectic days. Pause and take a deep breath before making hasty decisions; write stuff down and tick them off when accomplished and develop a good bedtime routine. Early nights does wonders for the skin, energy levels and focus.

Keep moving. Literally pick yourself up go outside and breathe. Moving around does wonders for focusing the mind whilst inducing endorphins into the body. Exercise to stretch muscles and gain more energy. Don’t stay stagnant all the time get the blood pumping and watch how much better you feel in minutes.

Just remember to take time out for you. You don’t need to explain it; you don’t need to make excuses for doing it but you need your own space in order to keep living a fulfilling and successful life.

I am really busy…


Well, it’s a lazy Sunday for me and the family. Everyone has isolated themselves into their corners. My son is arguing with fortnite with friends; the daughter is cooped up like a bird in her room and the dogs are snoring after a long walk in one of #londons enchanting woods.

Days really can’t get any better. Sometimes we need days of absolute nothing, ones that happen organically and have no really purpose other than to exist. Some days need to be spent in pure relaxation mode with spontaneous burst of excitement.

I hope you are using this day to re-charge those batteries; let the mind wonder on things at have no financial rewards but spiritual purpose. Be in the company of joyous souls, eat a good meal with loved ones or even alone, enjoy your time. Life shouldn’t always be chaos and hustle, sometimes we just need slippers and a good read.

A Sunday well spent brings a week of contentment

Continue this day in good form, prepare for the week ahead, pack your work bag, sort that killer outfit then sit back and watch an afternoon movie. Use the rest of today to fill your happiness and appreciate every moment.

I don’t want my panty to fall!!

In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday. Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older. And, there on television, she said it was Butsseeeeeeeeee ‘exciting…’body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day……like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.

The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!

Maya Angelou said this:

‘I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.’

‘I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled electric cord

Morning beauties.

I wanted to wish you all a productive week. The sadness of the weekend events throughout the world have brought a sudden need for everyone to express more love. For me Love never left me nor those around me and I will continue to promote positivity as the natural way of Life.

So not to dwell I am sending some much needed love and appreciate for all of mankind. Bleeding the same colour and making the same noises we are all the makings off one designer, just in varations of shapes and colours. But essentially we are all one.

  
So grab something warm to drink, get dressed and continue living a wonderful,fulfilling life, we get one chance, remove your fear and stay true to the belief  in the preservation of life and embrace each other with Love.

Hello November, please be good to me.


Morning Beauties.

  
It’s a foggy morning in London, the skies are clouded in mystery and the air is steeped in smug. This is the London I know and love, the mornings spent sipping coffee, browsing the newsreels and hearing the kids whispering in their loudest voice. For me November is special and my time of year to celebrate all the good in my life.

 
The view from my window, it’s foggy, misty and mysterious and I’m in love with the setting. 

Today the boys and I are off to see the Christmas lights switch on in Carnaby Street, it’s a tradition my mum did when I was little, it was always planned as a day of fun and family time. I’m excited like a child in a candy store. Warm coats are out, hats and gloves are ready and pack lunches made, today is a day for all to enjoy.

   
  

It’s the time of year when we look back for a moment, we remember the spring days, summer nights and the year we’ve had. But then we move forward, for the prospects ahead look more fruitful. The changes couldn’t come soon for most!

 The last bites of colour before the greys set in, we must cherish these moments like they are the last we’ll ever have. 

  

So as Novermber has made its welcomed grace let’s not forget it’s also 55days till Christmas so start preparing for the biggest event before the new year.  But before that I’m sharing some of the beautiful things I love about November, relax and I hope you enjoy.

I hope everyone slept well and had a fabulous Saturday whatever you did.

It’s a beautiful day in London, the sun is shining and the weather is hopeful! I always feel a Sunday well spent with the family always gets me ready for the week ahead with vigorous enthusaisum. Sunday dinner is already on the go, meat slow cooking in the oven, children running round with Nerf guns and the dogs are snoring after a healthy breakfast. Yes, I would say I have the best life and I appreciate every moment.

I bring you texture, contour and movement. White brings everything to light, a freshness and purity that feels youthful with grace. These images for me are dreamy and enriching. I hope you enjoy and start dreaming too!

With the smell of freshly cut flowers and candles burning, this is my weekend to relax and unwind. I’m Chilling after a hectic week of teaching, drama and football transportation duties. This is now my time to relax and take in the aura my home is oozing. I’m thinking florals, colour, flowers, butterflies and full hippie chic life.

I have sourced some wonderful colour and floral inspiration to spice up your weekend, I’m loving the floral fabrics and interior design using Flores,stripes and crazy patterns. She reaches over the table and takes my hands, ‘Love only hurts if you let it, so you might as well wear it like your favorite dress. It’s always going to look beautiful on you. Like maybe love was something made to fit girls with warrior hearts and bravery louder than their mothers, like yours- perfectly.’”
